My distro in Manjaro. This package is not available.
I am using this SDDM theme (Vivid-SDDM-6). I don't know if it uses sddm-greter-qt6, but has no problem.
You can preview what it should look like from Settings>Splash Screen. For me, the splash lasts less than five seconds and stutters really badly as the desktop loads in so any animation gets destroyed. Open to any ideas for a different one though.
I have previewed the splash screen. I think you could use the same image as the sddm and that would be a seamless experience. Animated splashes are a waste of effort, time and energy, because it is so brief.

Does not work, throws some errors that are hard to read, the font is a pale red on black. Wish I could tell you more.

/usr/lib/sddm/sddm.conf.d does not exist in /etc/sddm.conf.d I have 00_manjaro_settings.conf, which contains: [Theme] Current=breath
Updated. I added a versioning line so should work now. Manjaro sddm package includes both sddm-greeter and sddm-greeter-qt6 (pacman -Ql sddm).
Works fine now, thanks. How about a Splash? That would definitely complete this most excellent theme.
