Would it be possible to post an English screenshot? Thank you!
This "improvement" is not necessary. The ability to easily change the file permission to executable already exists in the properties dialog. While it may seem a convenience to allow this on the service menu, you should stop and think if you want users to be changing file permissions without first understanding the concepts behind the permissions dialog. IMHO...
Why i think these service menus make KDE more like windows with it security problems?
But ehm... might it try to detect wheter the file is an .sh/.run/etc, so it doesnt show up in .jpg's???
Sorry no :-)
if you don't want - ok. if you think you can't : try file filename.ext ;-)
oh, btw. kde can do this job for you as you can define the filetypes for the servicemenu in the .desktop file
Thanks for writing this, it's pretty cool! Would it be possible to have it detect whether the file is executable, and show either "make file executable" or "make file not executable" in the Action menu, rather than placing both actions in a submenu? Or is that too complex for servicemenus?
I will placing both actions in a submenu :-)
I once saw a very good howto about service menus. Do you have the URL? Could you please post it?

Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a lot!
