Description: This desktop-file enables you to view Windows CHM files within Linux.
After correct installation you find this action when you select a Windows CHM-file in the context menu of konqueror.
INSTALLATION
1) Extract the downloaded file "displaychm.tar.gz". 2) Download and extract the application "chmviewer-0.1.tar.gz" from the URL: http://www.herdsoft.com/ftp/chmviewer-0.1.tar.gz 3) Copy the file "displaychm.Desktop" in the servicmenu-folder of konqueror, for example: /home/linetpc/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus 5) Open the desktop file with an editor to adjust the path in the "exec"-Lines. Fill in the correct path to the executing-files of the applications you downloaded: "chmviewer".
Some distributions like Suse 10.1. doesn´t come preinstalled with a chm-viewer like "KchmViewer" or "xchm". It´s an alternative way to look at chm-files.
What default viewer for chm-files do you use in konqueror?
