Description:
Change modification date to exif one
With this service menu you will be able to replace modification date of jpeg images by the date from exif informations.
So your images will be dated with the shoot date/hour and not the last modification date (rotated/resized...)
Requirement:
- the exif command line tool from http://sourceforge.net/projects/libexif

- extract files
- copy the exifDate.desktop to
- ~/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus/ for only one user
- /usr/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus/ (as root) for all users

Hi, this is a script i have been looking for. Thanks! To get it working for me, i had to change the hex code in the grep statement from: "grep -m 1 0x0132" to "grep -m 1 0x9003". (Tested with both, a Kodak digital camera and a Sony camera handy (w800i)) If you like, you can add the german translation: Name[de]=Datum mit Exif Informationen abgleichen ...
Thanks for your feedback. I've added your translation and updated the script to work with both tags. The 2 cameras I've tested set both of them (Nikon E5200 & Panasonic DMCLX1) ... quite strange that yours do not :-?
