Hello! Unfortunately it is not working with KDE 3.4 or above. I wrote a patch and its is OK now. You could replace the "exec=..." line by Exec=kfmclient copy %U media:/fd0 or, if you'd like to umount Exec=kfmclient copy %U media:/fd0 ; umount /dev/fd0 It is a usefull tool! Thanks

Don't know which distro, but you need to unpack the archive and move it to either $HOME/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus or $KDEDIR/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus That's all

k3nz0o

im in Mandrake 10.1 Official Edition, I already copy this to /usr/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus/ and Copy to Floppy show up in Actions menu at konqueror but when I try to use it this msg appear : "Unknown Error plain_io : is a directory init A : Could not read boot sector Cannot initialize "A" Could'nt find the program 'kfmclient copy %U Floppy:/a' .. then I checked to console command line , kfmclient is available ..

Why not in the Copy To... submenu of the service menu? Now you are only adding more bloat to the menu's we're so desperatly trying to clean up a bit...

BorgQueen

Hi Paulo, Nice bit of work there. I was wondering if this useful servicemenu can be adapted to work with an internal zip drive (250mb). The Borg Queen

Hello! My name is Paulo Zambon and I was born and live in Astorga-Paraná-Brazil. Kurumin Linux is my inspiration to build this servicemenu. About the Kurumin Linux is Debian > Knoppix derivate and customized to users brazilians. Actualy version 3.31 (stable) use Kernel 2.4.25-klg, KDE 3.3.0 and other softwares. The alpha release (version 3) use kernel 2.6.8.1-10-kanotix and KDE 3.3.1. Your developer is Mr. Carlos E. Morimoto of site www.guiadohardware.net

Novell sure has a lot of people helping to improve linux and make it even more user friendly. Or more for the stubbornly stupid however you want to look at it. When it comes to most of the distros that I have used and tried they dont' have the copy to floppy service menu built right in. I think its a great addition! good work

kreten1

probably nice work, but isnt that already built in? copy to-> media/floppy. I dunno bout your dist, but suse has it :-)

openshiny

simple but useful. thx
