I have already thought about a more complex version with a user-editable replacement-rules and some ID3- and CDDB-functionality, but this probably will need pykde and lots of code.
EasyTAG or Krename are just too bloated for this kind of work, for my taste.

i like it. easyTAG may do this for media-files and i love - and even need! - this function =)

since i run amarok i just use the file renamer that's built in, but when i'm not running it i like a quick debuggery thingy.
i love it, i hate name with aAAAaAA[DScxwefd] :///*eezd*\\:.txt !!
