Why not a plasmoid ?
Because it is easy to install? Hehe
Everything in this desktop is a plasmoid my friend.
If you know how to make a install package, I thank you.
When kde4 install this others "plasmoids" directly from here , without to compile. them I take it.

no, because "technically" it's simply not a plasmoid, it's a shortcut and it could be in "Application" as well, even if it's not an application either

but it's not a problem indeed, some people might like it...

cheers

Nice. This will definitely do the work when I have to use metacity in KDE due to Kwin4 performance problems (hope that this will work without kwin opened)

BTW: where is wallpaper from .. i like it .. fresh!!

I don't think this will work without a running kwin.
This "plasmoid" uses a dbus-call. The reciever is only available if it's registered. And when does it register? When you start kwin...

So no Kill without kwin running.
But you can try to replace the dbus-call by "/usr/bin/xkill", and hope this works ;)

kde4 - 18 hours / 24 - 7/7 - 2 kills max each day - like kde3
always 20 windows open : 3 firefox whith 10-15 tabs opens - eclipse - 3 dolphin - tomcat, firebird, mysql running, amarock or deezer, compiz-fusion, 8 screenlets, 2 karambas, amsn, kmail, 3 konsoles, etc... 18 hours per days...
kde4 is more stable, and more speed as kde3...

xkill does the same. When you use kde you even don't need xkill, kde does it on its own.

Just press [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Esc] and you get the "x"-pointer. klick on a window and kill it. Much faster then minimizing all windows, klicking plasmoid, killing.

Hint: Press [Esc] to get the x away again, if you don't want to kill anything ;)

Is KDE4 working so badly that it needs a kill plasmoid on the desktop. I think its symptomatic and pityful.
