All the versions are in two sizes 24x24 and 32x32.
The following cursor themes are available in the “cursors? folder: pTux-24 pTux-32 pGentoo-24 pGentoo-32 pCircle-24 pCircle-32 pDebian-24 pDebian-32 pUbuntu-24 pUbuntu-32 pSuse-24 pSuse-32 pSlackware-24 pSlackware-32
If someone wants to do a different distro icon theme with my default cursors it will be nice to put every distro version in the same package, so please if your distro doesn't have a version already done and you want to contribute send me your work with all the sources!
Specification: -all the files that you will need are in the "misc" folder.
these are what a good fat pointer should be like :D
I know we all have to learn how to install things, but I wish people would learn to read things first!!!!
Excellent Mouse Theme! The cursor is bold so I can easily distinguish it from the background and the cursor has a simple and pleasant design unlike other themes. The logos are a bonus too!
Thanks!
i put everything in /home/.icons and then put my cursors file into /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/icons
i see the cursors in my gui mouse menu but they are plain white. i couldnt find installation instructions in the Readme or anywhere else.
thanks
sachin
I don't know if your just too lazy to type /home/yourusername/.icons or if you actually meant /home/.icons (you can clear this up by typing '~' to tell people you mean your $HOME environment variable, the one that tells you where your home folder is)
But uh, if you are putting them in /home/.icons that is the wrong spot. What I would do is save the tarball with the cursors to my home folder and then from command line
cd ~
cp whatever_the_cursors_are_called.tar.gz .icons
cd .icons
tar -xzvf whatever_the_cursors_are_called.tar.gz
That should put everything where it goes. If you don't see the cursors the first time, restart kcontrol and you might see them. Dunno what you'd do on GNOME. Hope that helps.
Hello,
You probably don't remark that the package is not a .tar.gz archive !! So, with that method, it doesn't work.
I got a problem too: I put every icons folder from the archive into the /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/icons forlder. These appears in the mouse theme manager but when I apply and restart, I got the old mouse theme !!
Is there anybody who got and solve this problem ?
Thx in advance for your answer, and excuse my bad english, I'm french...
Try putting it in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/icons also make sure you extract the package in that folder so that each mouse theme is in its own folder in the directory (ie:/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/icons/pCircle-24) you will have to do this as root and it should install the theme system wide. Hope this helps.
Great set of cursors here. Is there a way to replace the cursor for links ( cursor+globe ) with another cursor in the theme? Like the ones with the logos? Any chance on a Arch Linux set sometime? :]
Hello,
I installed the circle theme on my suse10 and it works great. The only trouble is firefox uses the ugly x11-standard busy cursor instead of circle one. Any hint?
You can't understand how happy I am while able to help somebody! :))
Usually it is me who is in troubles... Simply unpack the original package, select the theme you want to use, and pack the theme folder.
So if you like the cursors under pTux-24 folder, packt it to pTux-24.tar.gz and follow the original how-to!

The install guide does not work under KDE 3.5.2. Gives error "...does not appear to be a valid cursor theme archive.
Real great mouse theme.
The best set I have ever seen. Funny, useful, very stylish and definitely not an overkill. Thank you for your work!

hi, i want to use pUbuntu at my 5.04. but the small pack is 24; so, how can i make it become smaller: 20, or 16? best regards
Very nice looking theme, but it wont install under suse 10 (kde 3.5) Other themes install fine.

Hello, Now that Fedora has an official logo, do you think you could make a fedora theme? Here is a link to the new official logo: http://capstrat.com/development/fedora/index.php?imagenumber=22 Thanks...
