As a first stab at it, I have 4 virtual desktops; FreeBSD, Office, News Room, and Game Room. I multitask, reading in the News Room, while listening to music videos in the Game Room. I use the virtual desktop named FreeBSD to monitor system performance, especially when updating ports.
