Hi, Magistryoda. Thank you for your interest. I don't know a great deal about the Cinnamon desktop environment or what would be required to theme it. Just getting the GTK+ 3 portion of the Computing Machine theme up to its present mega-awesome state was quite the task. However, one should still be able to use this theme for the GTK+ 2/3 and Qt 4/5 applications on Cinnamon.

Of course, anyone is free to modify this theme to suit their own purposes.

Thank you for the compliment, Herto! I myself don't care for flat themes, but others are welcome to modify this theme however they wish. If it's not a theme that I create for my own usage, then I'm unlikely to create it.

Changelog for Computing Machine 17.11 1 month ago

This release continues to correct how recent versions of GTK+ 3 render the colors of some programs' particular text-entry fields. This release makes said fields consistent with the colors of other text-entry fields.

Note that release version 17.6 implemented a number of major improvements to the GTK+ 3 portion of the theme.

Changelog for Computing Machine 17.10 1 month ago

Recent versions of GTK+ 3 have changed the colors of how some programs' particular text-entry fields render. This release makes said fields consistent with the colors of other text-entry fields.

Note that release version 17.6 implemented a number of major improvements to the GTK+ 3 portion of the theme.

Changelog for Computing Machine 17.9 1 month ago

The only visually-rendered change for this version is to the GTK+ 3 portion of the theme. I added the '.view text' selector to a declaration block, which affects the GNOME LaTeX program, and probably other programs which I haven't tested. It seems that recent versions of GTK+ 3 have changed the color of the main text-field of the GNOME LaTeX software from what prior versions of GTK+ 3 rendered, and so this change makes said field consistent with other GTK+ 3 text-entry fields (i.e., the color that prior versions of GTK+ 3 rendered for this field).

Note that release version 17.6 implemented a number of major improvements to the GTK+ 3 portion of the theme.

Changelog for Computing Machine 17.8 3 months ago

This release mainly simplifies the color-scheme of the foreground colors (i.e., the text colors) while making them consistent between the GTK+ 2 and 3 portions of the theme. It also improves the appearance of a few GTK+ 3 theme-elements, such as the calendar.

Note that release version 17.6 implemented a number of major improvements to the GTK+ 3 portion of the theme.

Changelog for Computing Machine 17.7 3 months ago

This release mainly simplifies the code of the GTK+ 3 portion of the theme, with a few slight improvements to its appearance. Note that the prior release, version 17.6, implemented a number of major improvements to said portion.

Changelog for Computing Machine 17.6 4 months ago

I implemented a great deal of improvements to the GTK+ 3 portion of the theme. I ameliorated the buttons, tabs and popovers, as well as making additional enhancements. The various theme-elements are now defined in a more consistent manner across said portion, which also enabled simplification of the code.

Changelog for Computing Machine 17.5 4 months ago

This release mostly implements some code-simplification, with a few minor improvements to the theme's appearance.

Keep in mind that since version 13.0, the GTK+ 3 portion of the theme has been revised and is much improved.

Changelog for Computing Machine 17.4 4 months ago

Improved the tabs of the GTK+ 3 portion of the theme.

Keep in mind that since version 13.0, the GTK+ 3 portion of the theme has been revised and is much improved.

Changelog for Computing Machine 17.3 4 months ago

Made the theme's appearance across different window managers consistent with how it appears on the XFCE desktop environment without the need for special settings in the configuration files external to the theme. See the included "Information.txt" documentation for currently-recommended settings for said external configuration files.

Made various small improvements to the rest of the theme.

Keep in mind that since version 13.0, the GTK+ 3 portion of the theme has been revised and is much improved.

Changelog for Computing Machine 17.2 5 months ago

The New Year Special Edition! May everyone have crystal-clear vision for the duration of the new year and far into the future!

Improved the GTK+ 2 portion of the theme by changing "gtk-large-toolbar=16,16" to "gtk-large-toolbar=24,24" in the 'gtk-2.0/gtkrc' file. Improved the documentation by recommending the line "gtk-toolbar-style=GTK_TOOLBAR_ICONS" in the '~/.gtkrc-2.0' and/or the '/etc/gtk-2.0/gtkrc' files. Together these changes make the toolbars of the GTK+ 2 portion of the theme look the same on other window managers as they do on the XFCE desktop environment.

Keep in mind that since version 13.0, the GTK+ 3 portion of the theme has been revised and is much improved.

Changelog for Computing Machine 17.1 5 months ago

The Christmas Special Edition! May everyone have a splendiferous Christmastide!

Improved the GTK+ 2 portion of the theme with "GtkComboBox::appears-as-list = 0" instead of "GtkComboBox::appears-as-list = 1" in the 'gtk-2.0/gtkrc' file, which brings it more in accordance with the GTK+ 3 portion of the theme; and which is more logical since with "GtkComboBox::appears-as-list = 1", the non-entry comboboxes appear exactly like the entry comboboxes even though they have no actual entry-field. Also made some other small improvements to the GTK+ 2 portion of the theme.

Created the 'Computing-Machine.conf' file in the 'Extras/' directory, which can be used with the 'qt5ct' program in order to apply the Computing Machine color-scheme upon different Qt 5 interface styles. See the included 'Information.txt' file for instructions on how to use it.

Keep in mind that since version 13.0, the GTK+ 3 portion of the theme has been revised and is much improved.

Changelog for Computing Machine 17.0 6 months ago

Some additional code clean-up has been done. Visually it should be the same as the previous release.

Keep in mind that since version 13.0, the GTK+ 3 portion of the theme has been revised and is much improved.

Changelog for Computing Machine 16.0 6 months ago

This release implements a clean-up of the code, with a few minor visual improvements.

Keep in mind that since version 13.0, the GTK+ 3 portion of the theme has been revised and is much improved.

Changelog for Computing Machine 15.0 6 months ago

This release incorporates a number of improvements. Now the complete GTK+ 3 portion of the theme is defined in the 'gtk-3.0/gtk.css' file, thereby doing away with separate image files. A problem with the color-chooser's selected color not showing through the overlay has been fixed. Various other improvements have also been made.

Keep in mind that since version 13.0, the GTK+ 3 portion of the theme has been revised and is much improved.

Changelog for Computing Machine 14.0 6 months ago

I revised some of the colors for the GTK+ 2 portion of the theme to better match the new and improved GTK+ 3 portion. I fixed some issues with separators in the GTK+ 3 portion, in addition to other fixes. Now every program that I've so far thrown at it looks pretty.

Changelog for Computing Machine 13.0 6 months ago

I completely reworked the GTK+ 3 portion of the theme. Now it's far more correspondent to classic desktop environments. For example, now the outset borders of the tabs go all the way around their tabbed pages; it now uses grooved separators; etc. The button, tab and entry borders have also been overhauled, which now use GTK+ 3's built-in CSS outset/inset borders, instead of trying to create GTK+ 2-reminiscent borders for these elements (as was attempted earlier), which created bad-looking border-corners, and which would have made attempting to create outset tabbed pages connected to their tabs a nightmare. This also simplifies the code.

The Armistice Day Special Edition.

Numerous improvements.

Changelog for Computing Machine 11.0 7 months ago

The Allhallowtide/Día de Muertos Spookfest Special Edition! The same fortified and wholesome yumminess as the Regular Edition, but now with more spooky action at a distance! It's a festival of spookiness!

Improved the treeview header buttons. Improved the action buttons. Various other improvements.

Changelog for Computing Machine 10.0 7 months ago

Eliminated wiggle-worm behavior of entry fields (at least with my system's font setup). Eliminated wiggle-worm behavior of tabs. A number of other refinements.

Changelog for Computing Machine 9.0 8 months ago

The epic quest for interfacial perfection has reached a zenithal milestone. At least with my operating-system setup, the Computing Machine theme has become quite refined and polished.

Changelog for Computing Machine 8.0 8 months ago

A multitudinous smörgåsbord of improvements are incorporated into this release. With this release, I have achieved all of my main goals for this theme. Anything left to do now would simply be minor refinements.

Changelog for Computing Machine 7.0 8 months ago
