If we had merged KDE and GNOME, then we would have more developers, sure, but because we have the two major environments, that means that both will work harder to compete with one another and create more software faster, and it also gives more choice to the user.

Also, face it, this was a joke and a particularly funny one, I think. I'm sure that no developer really took offence to what one person thought would be a joke on a gnome-only site that KDE users/devs probably don't often visit.

And I mean, really. The artist didn't say that KDE was bad code, just that digital dogs pee on it.

Gnome and KDE, KDE and Gnome... You all folks behave like there where only 2 desktop enviroments... and there are lots of better, faster and more configurable window makers, so this whole issue like "Kde vs Gnome" is silly. Where two fights, there third wins.

Well, cooperation doesn't mean that there should be one environment, but that gnome and kde should work together where it makes sense. Look at project portland for example.

P.S.: I'm also really getting tired of all these kiddies trying to start gnome vs. kde flamewars.

P.P.S: Oh, and this little gem also shows up on kde-look.org, so much for a gnome only site...

a "corporation" is a company, I think perhaps you meant to use the word "cooperation" which means to "work together"

If anything we need more corporation between Gnome and KDE and having 12 year old jerks like you who draw what little selfesteem they have from the desktop environment they are using trying to cause a stink sure doesn't help.
