If you clone it with git, you'll be able to update it just with the command "git pull", so it is very easy to keep it updated. I don't explicit here each commit I make, but if you go to the project's page, you'll see I do update it more frequently than it appears here. - Jun 21 2021

I'd only point to a very minor detail, which is when a button has the .needs-attention class: the blue dot looks like standard adwaita blue, which is not visible enough (however, if it were this theme's cyan, it would perfect to me, then). Now I need to adapt my KDE Plasma to fit his GTK theme (full visual coherency is hard!) - May 26 2021

About window button icons: exactly, they come from your current icon theme, I'll update this in the description. I am currently using my own Buuf Nestort theme, so that's why they appear like that. Maybe I'll include a capture using another theme, so it is more obvious that this is what happens.
As for the titlebar animation: I was inspired by some Enlightenment themes, which feature such animation (which looks very "gamy", that is, very typical of computer games UI). For my taste it is subtle enough, but of course, everyone has different tastes ;)
As for the titlebar (headerbar) size: yes, it's big, but that is because I like it so. I love those huge Adwaita buttons: closing windows is something one does quite often, so having a big button there makes sense to me. It's true that depending on the size of your screen, that may be a waste of space.
If you'd like a lighter theme, I also have Pho-Earth (https://www.pling.com/p/1467179/), which is a previous version of some of the ideas here, and which is a direct modification of some themes called Pho-* (like Pho-Myrtus https://www.pling.com/s/Gnome/p/1240355/).
I haven't paid attention to key navigation indicators, true, and that's something I'll address in a future version. I'll also make overshoot more shiny. - May 06 2021

Great functionality and legibility. I like buttons a little bigger, though. I like the colors very much. I am also trying to capture "Gaia" in colours in some of the latest themes I've done, but it's not easy, because there are quite a few (blue, green, yellow, brown...), and can easily end up too messy. Thanks for your comments! Yes, I really like non-flat themes. I like buttons to look like real ones, with lighting and shadows. I'd also like to adding "lights" to indicate if a button is on or off, for example. If I had time and money, I'd spend many hours a day designing themes! - Dec 23 2020

I love this dark theme because it's both interesting and and with an excellent "legibility" for all items, which is not usually the case for most of dark themes (at most they're "either or"). - Sep 07 2020

I've noticed that disabled buttons show no effect on the icon, which makes them undistinguishable from normal clickable buttons when they onbly have an icon (such as in toolbars). I've seen in other themes they use the line
-gtk-icon-effect: dim;
to at least dim the icon. I've located where such change could be applied. There's a line where the selector button:disabled is used. It is at around line 1072 (I've added some other changes, so it can be +- 8 lines approx). The selector affects more elements, but I'd say it is OK to add the icon effect:
notebook > header > tabs > arrow:disabled label,
button.titlebutton:disabled label,
notebook > header > tabs > arrow:disabled,
button.titlebutton:disabled,
button:disabled label,
button:disabled,
.button:disabled > .label,
.header-bar .button.titlebutton:disabled > .label,
.titlebar .button.titlebutton:disabled > .label {
color: @theme_fg_color_dis;
-gtk-icon-effect: dim; /* <------------ added line */
}
There are more selectors that point to more specific disabled buttons in other places, but I'd say that just by adding this line, this should apply to them also. Note that in GTK4 this should change a bit, but I'd say it is good to make disabled buttons with just icons look different (https://developer.gnome.org/gtk4/stable/ch40s02.html#id-1.7.4.4.36)
I've also added this at the end of radios and checks section, so give some visual feedback of the hovering on the checkboxes and radios:
checkbutton:hover, radiobutton:hover {

as far as I have seen, GTK3 apps tend to work poorly with this icon set: I think they expect icons to be in SVG format, in order to be scaled to whatever size they need to be (which is nice since screens may have an arbitrary pixel density).
I haven't investigated much into how to solve this problem with fixed-sized raster icons.
Also, since I published the latest version for this theme, a lot of new icons have been included in default themes (including "symbolic" versions for them), which definitely need to be added to this set.
Unfortunately, currently I don't have the time to invest into this icon set to make it usable again, so do not expect any update soon... Sorry! Anyway, thanks for the interest! - Mar 10 2016
