Hi! The short answer is no. It is possible to run Plasma with other window manager and stuff, but native xfce has no possibility of running plasmoids. It does not even use Qt. You could probably do some bad workarounds or tricks using plasmoidviewer or a separate wayland window, but that would be hacky and messy. I do not know how to write taskbar plugins for xfce but it is using GTK which has different approaches. - Apr 26 2024

Hi! Wouldn't be that easy. It should be rewritten using Kirigami. Didn't touch Kirigami or qt6 yet (besides using it), so I do not know how easy or hard it would be. And afair there were some bugs left in the old version which should be avoided in future versions. I don't have Qt or Kirigami on my schedule, so I cannot promise anything but looking into it. - Apr 26 2024
