I had a problem with this theme on GDM 2.6.0.9. The user entry field was far too small to see what was being entered in it. The following change fixed it for me: On line 40, change from pos anchor="nw" x="230" y="80" width="320" to pos anchor="ne" x="230" y="80" The width part made it visible again and changing the anchor properly centered it under the Gentoo text. Hope this helps

Nowadays I don't use Gentoo and my GDM theme, so I didn't notice this problem. Today I tested this theme and I can agree with you. Your change fixes the problem at me too, so I'll release 0.2.1 with this fix. Thanks again.

This is great, and I am currently working on a GDM theme for all linux distributions. I was wondering if you would allow me to use a background based on yours in my theme. Thankyou, Matthew

Hey this looks nice and is probably one of the best gdm themes I have saw. But I don't use Gentoo and I'd like to see Gnu/Linux text on that login and that crystal Tux Logo as a instead of gentoo logo. Can you work it out? Thank you.

dvornik

OK, I'll make a new GDM theme with GNU/Linux text and Tux.

Nice! I think it would be even nicer with purple icons (there's an icon theme for Gentoo, but I can't recall the name of it atm) instead of the normal GDM ones.

dvornik

Good idea. I'll make a new theme with icons from Lila icon theme.

Note Ubuntu uses LightDM, so you would need to switch to GDM first to use GDM themes:
