kde4 uses this and i can tell you that you can download the live cd and study the way its done in qt then post the add on and how to change by a pdf using pictures at the least. so pleas take your time im not sure how tho edit qt so posting or updating this on how to do so would help allot of people.
Yes, it is. (At least for the highlight box) I'll try to include someting like this in Baghira / unrelesed until I have mosfet's OK)
OK... UHHOHH... My Fault. Allthough it really CAN be done without hacking qt - this is REALLY slow (as you have to use and rescale pixmaps, qt does't use a primive to draw this (as i thaougt that would be pe_checkmark) but directly draws a filled rect). Therefore i'd suggest to suggest this to qt (i guess you also want user relative colored background?!), cause in qticonview it's really easy to implement this. sorry.
nice metasuggestion!
Someone asked this a while back. I think the conclusion was that it required better transparency support from x... But also that 3.2 will come with better looking tags (or was it 3.1) I don't really care so I didn't follow to well but see the archives...
