Will this app have a version for plasma 6? My Garuda forced entry to plasma 6. But this add-on is more important to me than plasma 6. Now I'm unable to use it... 😐
Not works for Flatpak and Appimage apps
I found that it actually works for Flatpak and appimage! The actual issue is that it doesn't works for apps placed on the second dsplay
Perhaps installing works via ocs-url - https://www.opendesktop.org/p/1136805/ but the widget may bring unstable operation and crashes to the Plasma session
It can't be installed due to error: _"The installation of /tmp/EJxjQu-applet-window-appmenu-0.8.0.tar.gz failed, as the downloaded package does not contain any useful meta information, which means it is not a valid KPackage."_

5 Good tool. However, it's glitchy (resizes itself indefinitely) when the menu makes the dock exceed its maximum length (shaky effect).

9 This is excellent, but are there any plans to support to change the fonts and increase the size? something like "plasmoid - Better inline clock" that if it allows to change the fonts ... also another, gtk applications do not have a global menu because many distros no longer include appmenu-gtk-module, is this dependency already obsolete?
I'm on Arch, I can't install the required packages with pacman, What can I do ?
Conflicts and blocking startup of Microsoft Edge browser.

10 Does anyone know how to make this appmenu hide behind window title applet? When you hover to the window title paplet, this app menu shows. I used to be able to do it but forgot how.
nvm it's in the settings of the applets

This looks like just what I'm looking for. But I don't have the skills needed to compile it myself. Is there a pre compiled file I can download? Hopefully it will work with the widgets menu soon. But any help would be appreciated.
Is it possible to add the Apps Name and icon?
7 Once you go through the hoops, it works. I hated the installation experience, it's broken. I don't know why it can't be installed from the widgets menu, but it is what it is... I do not recommend this for casual users until it can be easily installed.
I have installed it but I can't found it in the applet list.
9 9 excellent The only -1 : Manual installation Otherwise, perfect! Clearly better than KDE's default Global Menu, which used to keep showing the menu of one particular app minimized/closed to systray until another app became active.
I couldn't install this on the latest KDE Neon (based on Ubuntu 20.04), even after installing all the dependencies on INSTALLATION.md. Installation proceeds to 81%, then this error message: [ 81%] Building CXX object plugin/CMakeFiles/appmenuplugin.dir/wm/waylandwindowmanager.cpp.o In file included from /home/vinicius/applet-window-appmenu/plugin/wm/waylandwindowmanager.cpp:20: /home/vinicius/applet-window-appmenu/plugin/wm/waylandwindowmanager.h:36:10: fatal error: taskmanager/tasksmodel.h: No such file or directory 36 | #include | ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ compilation terminated. Is this a missing dependency? I can't really tell what I should install. Thank you for this tool, I would really like to get it working.
Got it to work! I had to install plasma-workspace-dev.
