Such automatic mechanism doesn't exist, you are confusing the concept of "backup" with the one of "cache" and in general .bak files are eventually removed automatically only by the application that created them. - Jul 14 2023

Sorry it was not clear, just append "text/plain;" to the MimeType line in the .desktop file. I just tested it on KDE Neon and it works as expected. If for some reason your system doesn't map .txt to text/plain check File Association in System Settings. What's your problem exactly? The entry doesn't appear at all in the menu? Does it appear but the PDF file is not produced? - Mar 04 2021

"soffice" is the command to launch Libreoffice. Maybe you installed Libreoffice with an alternative way to repo like Snap or Flatpak and so you can't launch it with "soffice" in the command line? - Jan 03 2021

Do you know how to install a Service Menu for Dolphin? Dolphin > Settings > Services > Get New Service > Search for this one typing "Telegram" in the search box.

But the point is: if you installed Telegram by downloading it from telegram.org you probably can't run it from terminal typing "telegram-desktop" that is a requisite for this service menu. Please check as I said in my previous comment. - May 27 2018

Does it launch Telegram Desktop? How do you installed Telegram? Downloading it from telegram.org and extracting an archive or did you found it in your distro app center and clicked "Install"?

Hi, it's not possible since Telegram Desktop is GUI-only and doesn't have a CLI interface. You can try to fill a request on Telegram Desktop tracker on GitHub asking to add this feature.

Two of the three downvotes are by other icon theme (Papirus and Antu) authors. They propably don't like that icon themes are mixed. Probably they don't understand that Free Software is about freedom and they want to use Free Software like Inkscape to produce proprietary artworks, that is legitimate but they shouldn't downvote who mix Free-as-in-freedom icon themes they have nothing to do. I'm one of the main author of the MIME-types icons in Breeze that I included in this mix. So I don't really understand what Papirus and Antu authors want here. - Nov 07 2017

You can use the installation script in the Nativefier-Freedesktop repo (https://github.com/alxlg/nativefier-freedesktop/blob/master/install-nativefier-freedesktop) or the manual installation described in the readme.

After the installation you can just click on a *.webapp to install it. Then it appears on your app launcher with the other apps. To uninstall a Web App use right click on its icon in the app launcher and "Uninstall". - Apr 11 2017

I used your example to test it, reading your comment here I realized what was wrong: I placed the plasmoid on the desktop and not in the panel. If I place it in the panel everything works as expected. BTW it would be better in my opinion if when placed on the dekstop, the plasmoid shows all its content, as other plasmoids do ;-) - Mar 22 2017

"Type" is right, I don't know why Dolphin replaces the type of apps and folders with the "comment=" inside them. Instead the "Comment" check is the one for comments assiged to any type of file with Baloo. - Mar 15 2017

Thanks for the suggestion but ksvgtopng5 is not reliable, it doesn't support masks, blur, layer blend modes and a lot of other things. Also, I can't manage to make ksvgtopng5 to automatically detect SVG's size, any idea?
Anyway I don't want to get rid of these dependencies because this menu is specifically made for Inkscape/RSVG, it's not a generic SVG-to-PNG :-) - Feb 25 2017
